Infrastructure


All the classrooms are big, spacious, airy , well lit, well equipped with all basic requirements like desks, fans & lights, soft-boards, teacher’s table & chair and a cupboard. The latest addition is the introduction of E- learning technology in each class.  Each class has its own screen, projector and a laptop having all the data necessary for audio–video learning of all subjects of that class. All teachers have been trained to use this technique to enhance the teaching–learning process within the class and to make learning more interesting and fun.

The Computer Lab has 30 computers all with multimedia systems. Qualified and experienced staff and a tie–up with the SJIIT ensure that all our students receive the latest know how related to the field of computers. The computer lab is fully air-conditioned.

The Science Laboratory is built to accommodate 50 students at a time and has been provided with all the required equipment and apparatus needed to perform science practical’s from std I to X

The School Library though a relatively new school , we proudly boast of more than 1500 books, journals and magazines on every topic of interest for students of 3–16 years of age like sports, General knowledge, Science, Encyclopaedias, etc. A separate section for teachers comprises of more than 300 reference books and educational magazines so that they keep themselves well–informed and updated to keep pace with the changing trends in education. CDs and DVDs on educational topics and general knowledge are shown to students on a regular basis also form an important part of the library.

The Sports Room stores sports equipment related to games like Cricket, football, athletics, tug–of–war, etc. and equipment for the Nursery Section.

The Auditorium – The school has an auditorium where some activities like skating , music, karate take place on daily basis and the in House /competitions ( co- curricular Activities) take place.

The Play Park  - A special area set up with lots of play equipment for the Pre- Primary section helps the tiny tots with outdoor activity and play time .

The School Ground – Though the school is in the heart of the city, it has a sports ground where daily assembly takes place, as well as sports activities like Athletics, Football , Basketball etc are practiced.

Co-Curricular
  1. Inter–House and Inter–School debate, elocution and Essay Writing competitions in English, Marathi and Hindi, Dance and singing competitions. Inter–House completions in making Rangolis, Greeting Cards, Salads, Rakhis and Flower arrangements, handwriting competitions for the junior classes are various activities spread out throughout the academic year. Teachers in- charge of the various houses train students regularly in the zero periods.
  2. Students are trained in Indian music.
  3. Field trips and Picnics are arranged.
  4. To enhance students quest for learning science through demonstration, slides and project method.
  5. Educational trips to places of historical interest and also to old age homes and hospitals to create social awareness among students from an early age.
  6. Skating and Dance is taught during school time to encourage talent. The students have participated in inter – school competitions and won medals and shields in skating. Abacus classes are held for those interested in maths.
  7. There are a variety of clubs like Science club, Environment Club, Music Club, Art Club , and Computer Club where students enhance their knowledge in the field of their choice.
